The management of the 2 Mai fruit and vegetable market defy convention by charging .37 lei for the use of their WC.  The oddity lies not so much in the existence of the tariff, but rather the absurd valuation of the service to the hundredth of a cent.  The value of .01 lei is so nominal that most stores rarely bother to price wares or dispense change accurately beyond a tenth, and yet here amidst chaotic commerce where rounding and approximation are often employed to hasten transactions, such precision was deemed necessary to grant access to a toilet.
